France - Canada/ Nouvelle-Aquitaine: Assises de la coopération décentralisée franco-québécoise 2023, October 23 and 24

The Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, a partner of Quebec for the past 21 years, will be hosting the 6th edition of the Assises franco-québécoises de la coopération décentralisée, on October 23 and 24, at the Espace Encan in La Rochelle. On the program: two days of conferences, workshops and visits.

As part of theYear of Franco-Quebec Innovation 2023, the 6th Assises franco-québécoises de la coopération décentralisée will be held in La Rochelle on October 23 and 24.

For almost sixty years, Quebec and France have enjoyed a direct and privileged relationship, born of a desire to help both Quebecers and Frenchmen contribute to the scientific, economic, social and cultural progress of both societies.
The Nouvelle-Aquitaine region has been a partner of Quebec since it signed its first roadmap with the Délégation générale du Québec in Paris 21 years ago. Since then, it has created the Fonds franco-québécois de coopération décentralisée, a financial tool dedicated to cooperation projects between French and Québec local authorities, and the Fonds de coopération franco-québécois de coopération décentralisée, a financial tool dedicated to cooperation projects between French and Québec local authorities.and the Assises de la coopération décentralisée, a forum for local authorities and cooperation players to meet and discuss their partnerships.

As the host local authority, Nouvelle-Aquitaine is responsible for organizing the Assises, in partnership with the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Delegation of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Europe et des Affaires étrangères and the Délégation à l'action extérieure des collectivités territoriales on the French side.
The Délégation générale du Québec à Paris, the ministère des Relations internationales et de la Francophonie, the ministère des Affaires municipales et de l'Habitation and the Ministère de l'Économie et de l'Innovation.

Focusing on the theme of "Innovating for sustainable territories", the event will offer two days of conferences, workshops and visits to exchange ideas and foster the emergence of new cooperative projects.
