In Togo, the Capacity Building Program for Private Sector Associations, organized as part of the Private Sector Competitiveness Program (ProCOMP), has come to an end.

Initiated in February 2023 by Togo's Conseil National du Patronat (CNP), with financial support from the German cooperation agency, GIZ, via the Sequa consultancy, this program reached its climax on April 18 with a ceremony to hand over certificates and teaching materials to the associations.

Nine professional associations, including CNP-Togo and the Fédération des Promotrices Agroindustrielles du Togo (FEPROMAT), received tools such as computers and software packages.

As part of the program, participants underwent intensive training covering several modules, including strategy development, governance, women's leadership and internal management.

The Chairman of the CNP, Mr. Coami Sedolo Tamégnon, emphasized the importance of unity between the public and private sectors in tackling major economic challenges. He praised the commitment of professional associations to building the capacities of their members, while noting the crucial role of public-private dialogue in economic development.

The climax was also an opportunity for the associations to present their GIZ-funded projects.
