The Institut National d'Assurance Maladie (INAM) has launched a campaign of free medical consultations in Greater Lomé, running until May 27, 2024. The initiative, which aims to provide medical care to the population, began on April 8 in the communes of Golfe 5 and Agoè-Nyivé 6, says INAM.

Lomé's youth centers, notably those in Amadahomé and Adéticopé, serve as consultation sites, welcoming residents to benefit from a number of free services, including blood pressure and diabetes screening tests, as well as health advice. These include blood pressure and diabetes screening tests, as well as health advice.

For INAM, this campaign is part of the health and social action policy of the universal health insurance scheme currently being rolled out across the country. The main objective, it says, is to offer quality health care to citizens and gather reliable health data on vulnerable populations.

The commune of Golfe 4, the current stage of this campaign, will host the mission until April 19, 2024.

This operation is carried out in partnership with the Ordre National des Médecins du Togo (ONMT), the Centre Africain de Recherche en Epidémiologie et Santé Publique (CARESP), and the Agence Nationale du Volontariat au Togo (ANVT).
