On the territory Trégor-Guingamp-Paimpol, 15 projects in connection with the sea are supported by Europe, up to 1,13 M€. The Region came to evoke them Thursday in Ploubazlanec.

Local development by local actors, or DLAL: this is a call for projects launched by the Region of Brittany in late 2021 and concerns a European program to support the maritime transition, via the GALPA which are eight in Brittany (local action groups for fishing and aquaculture). 186 projects exist in all for €16 million allocated; in the territory of Trégor-Guingamp-Paimpol, which represents 142 municipalities, 204 600 inhabitants and three communities of agglomeration, 15 projects are selected for €1.13 million in aid. These include the collective building for fishermen and oyster farmers, known as the "Loguivy fish tanks"; the Milmarin museum; the monitoring of grey seals; the construction of a new building for the "Trégor-Guingamp-Paimpol"; the monitoring of grey seals; the recycling of used fishing nets, awareness of pollution at sea (80% of which comes from the land).
"The local actors who decide"
For Daniel Cueff and Gaël Le Meur, elected officials of the Brittany Region, "the concerns of all territories are common but the solutions are not the same everywhere. On the other hand, we are amazed to see the extent to which the territories have taken their problems in hand; nothing is imposed on them, it is the local actors who decide. For the mayors of Paimpol, Plouha and Pleubian, "the blue economy brings people together and we will make sure that this handicap of climate change becomes a strength," according to Xavier Compain, first mayor of Plouha.
