Côte d'Ivoire/ Japan invests more than five billion CFA francs to finance community development projects in Côte d'Ivoire

Japan has invested 5.3 billion CFA francs to finance 177 community development projects in health and education in Côte d'Ivoire since 1989.

This announcement was made on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, by the Japanese Ambassador to Côte d'Ivoire, Ikkatai Katsuya, during the inauguration ceremony of the maternity ward of Koupela-Tenkodogo, in the town of Bouaflé.

This health structure, including a hospitalization room, water, labor, delivery, monitoring and an office, was built and equipped with medical equipment by the Embassy of Japan to the tune of 51 million CFA francs.
