A program of 180 MDH for the promotion of inclusive development of the Beni-Mellal-Khenifra Region has just been launched by the American Embassy, through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in partnership with the wilaya and the council of the region.

The U.S. Embassy launched, Thursday, January 28, a program of 180 MDH, through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and in partnership with the wilaya of the Beni-Mellal-Khenifra Region and its regional council. The objective is to promote an inclusive development of the region, with a focus on the creation of economic opportunities for women, youth and people with disabilities. Over a period of five years (2021-2025), the programme entitled "Inclusive Socio-Economic Development in the Beni-Mellal-Khenifra Region" (ISED), aims to support the development of the region's economic and social development.gion in achieving its development priorities by strengthening participatory governance and improving opportunities for economic growth and job creation. ISED, was designed using a co-creation approach to ensure regional ownership of the programme and thus its sustainability.

Thus, says a statement from the American Embassy, the co-creation has helped to identify priorities, opportunities and challenges, and to reflect on the best approaches to be tested, adapted and adopted to ensure the achievement of the main objective of the programme: regional development based on greater inclusion and active participation of women, youth, people with special needs and the rural population. The programme in question will be implemented under USAID's new strategy to support Morocco in its efforts to increase its prosperity and accompany the Kingdom's efforts to achieve advanced regionalization. It will be implemented by a strong consortium that was selected after a selective process. The consortium is led by Family Health International 360, and includes FSVC/LixCap, Mississippi State University and the local association AIDECA.
