Benin/Nikki is getting ready to rock to the beat of the 14th Borgou Regional Economic Fair
From August 21 to 30, 2026, the city of Nikki will host the 14th edition of the Borgou Regional Economic Fair. This event aims to combine economic opportunities with the promotion of local expertise and the celebration of cultural heritage.
To mark Gaani, a major celebration of Borgou’s cultural heritage and identity, Nikki is preparing to host a major event in the region’s economic life. For ten days, the city will be at the heart of commercial and cultural exchanges during the 14th edition of the Borgou Regional Economic Fair.
Organized by the Association for the Development of the Municipalities of Borgou (ADECOB), with financial support from Swiss Cooperation through the AGORA program, as well as from the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Benin through IFDC and its ACMA3 program, this edition aims to serve as a true forum for networking and opportunities.
From August 21 to 30, merchants, artisans, business operators, producers, development stakeholders, fair vendors, and visitors from Borgou and beyond are expected in Nikki. The fair will provide a setting to **showcase products and services, discover local expertise, network, develop partnerships, and do business**.
Beyond its commercial aspect, the Borgou Regional Economic Fair is part of an effort to promote the region’s assets. It will highlight the diversity of local products, the talent of artisans, and the economic potential of the municipalities in Borgou, while forging a link between the economy, culture, and traditions.
This year’s event takes place under particularly favorable circumstances, coinciding with the Gaani celebration, which attracts numerous visitors to Nikki each year. ### Fair vendors are invited to reserve their booths
Business operators and exhibitors wishing to participate in this major event are invited to reserve their booths now. Spaces are available on the esplanade of the Nikki Tax Office, the site selected to host the fair’s activities.
Reservations can be made at town halls in the Borgou region or directly at ADECOB headquarters in N’Dali.
