Vietnam: A National Platform to Modernize the Labor Market

After three months of pilot operation, the platform has registered more than 14,000 job seekers and more than 5,000 companies offering nearly 300,000 job openings.

On July 31, the Ministry of the Interior, in collaboration with the Dong Nai City People’s Committee, organized a conference focused on the establishment of a national employment platform and the launch of the Dong Nai Labor Leasing Enterprises Association.

This initiative is part of the implementation of Political Bureau Resolution 57-NQ/TW on the development of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation, as well as government directives on administrative modernization. After three months of pilot operation, the platform has registered more than 14,000 job seekers and more than 5,000 companies offering nearly 300,000 job openings.

This platform serves as a strategic digital infrastructure for the national labor market. It connects workers, companies, employment service centers, training institutions, and public authorities. User information is verified through the VNeID electronic identification system, which enhances transparency, limits false claims, and ensures data security.

Through nationwide data integration, the system overcomes the fragmentation of information across localities and facilitates human resources management across regions. In addition, the platform incorporates artificial intelligence and big data analytics to accelerate the matching of job supply and demand, while providing forecasts on market trends.

Speaking at the event, Nguyên Manh Khuong, Deputy Minister of the Interior, asked the Department of Employment to finalize the official version of the platform to ensure its full rollout by the end of the year. He emphasized the need to gather user feedback to make the system simpler and more accessible, while stepping up communication efforts to encourage businesses and workers to adopt this tool. The deputy minister also noted that Dong Nai, which is home to a large number of businesses and workers, is a key area for evaluating the system’s effectiveness.

For her part, Nguyen Thi Hoang, Vice Chairwoman of the Dong Nai City People’s Committee, called on local agencies to strengthen the use of digital technologies in labor management and to update and share labor market data. She also called on companies to report their labor needs and on vocational training institutions to adapt their training programs to market demands.

On this occasion, the Dong Nai Labor Leasing Enterprises Association—established in June 2026 as a voluntary socio-professional organization—signed several memorandums of understanding with companies to strengthen cooperation in recruitment and labor supply.
