Algeria, United States

This is the wonderful surprise in the wake of the 2026 World Cup. On Sunday, during a Cabinet meeting, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune ordered the official launch of a sister-city agreement between the wilaya of Tipaza and the American city of Kansas City. This decision was made in recognition of the exceptional welcome extended to the delegation and supporters of the Fennecs during the sporting event.

To bring this partnership to fruition, a ministerial trio was immediately assembled. According to the Cabinet’s press release, the head of state entrusted the preparation of this agreement to Ahmed Attaf (Foreign Affairs), Saïd Sayoud (Interior), and Walid Sadi (Sports).

During the tournament, the Greens had set up camp in Lawrence, Kansas. It was at this base camp that the national team conducted all of its preparations between matches at the 2026 World Cup.
