Canada/Quebec Opens Its Wallet for the Development of the Bas-Saint-Laurent Region
The Minister Responsible for Youth and Deputy Minister for the Regions, Mr. Mathieu Lévesque, announced Monday morning that $5,176,170 has been allocated to support the implementation of 39 initiatives in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region.
These funds will be used for a wide range of projects aimed at promoting the region’s development. Some of the projects targeted by this investment are in Rivière-du-Loup.
An outdoor community space will be created in the northern part of Carré Dubé. This gathering place will receive $50,000.
Another $50,000 will be allocated to convert the Sainte-Claire monastery into 27 housing units for families, single individuals, and seniors.
The Carrefour d’initiatives populaires de Rivière-du-Loup will be able to expand its building and purchase new equipment thanks to an investment of $75,000.
The Rivière-du-Loup MRC will receive $146,000 to conduct a study on a potential regional animal services program.
