President Guy Puyoo-Castaings emphasized "the loyalty of our members and the importance of continuing the solidarity actions undertaken over many years". In the Béarn des Gaves region, the association took part in the garage sale organized by Salies à Peindre, and coordinated the^4th edition of the Festival des solidarités. This event mobilized 10 local associations and offered some twenty events in Salies-de-Béarn, Sauveterre-de-Béarn and Navarrenx, attracting almost 700 participants.

A strong commitment

In Sabou, the Comité de jumelage continued to support several concrete projects. The weaving workshop, which has been supported for seven years, continues to develop thanks to the work of Mariam and Korotini, with over 300 loincloths sold by 2025. The association has also provided assistance to the Faag Taaba reception center, which houses and educates some thirty orphaned or abandoned children, notably by supplying cereals and supporting agricultural production activities.

Lastly, financial assistance was provided to maintain the wheelchairs of 13 beneficiaries of the Wendemi association. The Committee is also pursuing its involvement in international solidarity networks, joining Radsi (1) Nouvelle-Aquitaine and the Maison des citoyens du monde in Billère.

The members of the association would like to thank the town of Salies-de-Béarn for its logistical support, the donors, the volunteers and all the associative partners who contributed to the success of the Festival des solidarités. In the coming years, the Comité de Twinning will continue to support projects in Sabou.
