France/Retrouvailles entre Bretons et Anglais du jumelage Bénodet-Torpoint avant la fête des 40 ans
This year, as part of the twinning between Bénodet and Torpoint, an English delegation arrived on Friday May 15, 2026 to meet their Breton counterparts.
They were welcomed at the town hall that evening by Mayor Anne Bourbigot, whose mom, Suzanne, has been involved with the committee for years, including serving as president from 2015 to 2022. "I myself went to Torpoint with my sister as part of the exchange program. After that, it was our children who went. We're now down to three generations who have enjoyed participating and exchanging," she explains.
The program for the stay was carefully prepared in advance. On Saturday, the whole delegation and the Bénodet residents went to the Ile de Sein. On Sunday, they had lunch at Le Chantier restaurant in Concarneau, hosted by Stefane Laurens, who presented an extract from his show, which he is perfecting for selection for the French Magic Championships. They then visited the Ville Close before heading back to England on Monday.
