EUSEEDS: a series of training courses to strengthen beneficiary employability centers
As part of the EUSEEDS project (Enable, Upgrade and Spread Employability, Entrepreneurship and Digital Skills), co-funded by the European Union as part of the Interreg NEXT MED program, Aix-Marseille Université (France) has launched a series of online training sessions designed to support the 24 beneficiary universities in the creation and development of their employability centers.
Held from March 30 to April 7, 2026, these sessions enabled participants to discuss their practices, discover the tools developed by Aix-Marseille Université and reflect on their adaptation to a variety of institutional contexts.
The first session, held on March 30 and led by CISAM (Cité de l'Innovation et des Savoirs d'Aix-Marseille), focused on the different types of university centers and their business models. Participants explored various funding sources, from institutional to hybrid models, and took part in practical exercises to identify their needs and align them with adapted services.
On March 31, the SUIO (Service Universitaire d'Insertion et d'Orientation) presented its main initiatives in favor of student employability. The session highlighted the role of Career Centers in developing solid networks of recruiting partners offering internships, work-study programs and job opportunities. Participants were also introduced to the JobTeaser platform, which facilitates links between the academic world and the socio-economic sector. In addition, the e-learning modules available on Moodle were presented, offering structured support to students in building their academic and professional careers. Representatives were given access to these resources, as well as an overview of the graduate follow-up surveys carried out by the Observatoire de la vie étudiante.
The third session, organized on April 7 and hosted by the PEPITE (Pôle étudiant pour l'innovation, le transfert et l'entrepreneuriat) Provence cluster, introduced the Business Model Canvas as a structuring tool for employability centers. Initially designed for startup development, this tool was presented as a relevant approach for designing and organizing innovative support services within universities.
A fourth session is being prepared for mid-May, and will focus on the importance of data monitoring and analysis.
The training series will conclude with a face-to-face seminar in Aix-en-Provence, scheduled to take place at the end of the online sessions.
Through this initiative, EUSEEDS continues its commitment to capacity building, knowledge sharing and collaboration between partners and beneficiaries, contributing to the development of sustainable, high-impact employability support structures in the region.
