France/"We work together all the time": Enosia association and Laval hospital sign partnership agreement
The Enosia association and Laval hospital signed a partnership agreement on Friday March 27. The two teams work together on a day-to-day basis to care for patients in very precarious situations.
This formalizes what already exists. On Friday March 27, 2026, the Mayenne association Enosia and the Laval University Hospital signed a partnership agreement. The two organizations are working together to provide care for patients in very precarious situations.
Continuity of care
Enosia supports migrants, the poor, the isolated and the vulnerable in all aspects of life. The association offers emergency accommodation and housing solutions. Its doctors and nurses regularly take part in "marauding" operations to help the most vulnerable people and, where necessary, accompany them on their journey to care.
Caregivers from the association and the hospital work together. Julie, a social worker at the hospital, regularly comes across Jessie, a mobile nurse at Enosia. The last time was for a 56-year-old patient with neurological problems, cared for by Jessie. "It was first a partner, a social referent in the Mayenne region, who contacted Enosia. Then we contacted the hospital," Jessie recalls. "We communicate almost all the time, some seasons more than others. Winter is very hard on people who are homeless, so we're going to be in contact with the CHU a lot. The idea is for there to be continuity between us and the hospital," explains the nurse.
Joint projects
The association works with patients before, during and after their stay at Laval University Hospital. Nurses sometimes accompany patients to medical appointments. In the event of a difficult operation or heavy treatment requiring relocation, Enosia helps patients find a solution adapted to their needs. By signing a partnership agreement with the hospital, we can "put in writing everything that has already been done, and look ahead to what's to come", explains Jean-François Rossignol, Managing Director of the association.
This partnership will make it easier to set up joint projects. The first is a one-stop Enosia service: a single telephone number for doctors and nurses at the hospital, which will make it easier to contact all the association's departments, and strengthen collaboration between care providers at the association and the CHU.
