Volunteers from the association Culture en folie, which runs the Micro-Folie in Le Pouliguen, have joined forces with those from AVF (Accueil villes françaises) to organize a year-round lecture series.

On Saturday January 10, the association Culture en folie presented a brand-new collection to its members, and signed an agreement with the local branch of Le Pouliguen, Accueil des villes françaises, to organize a quarterly lecture series at the Micro-Folie.

Firstly, the brand-new "Pays de la Loire" collection, eagerly awaited by the team in place, and finally arriving in the structure's digital system, was commented on by the cultural mediator, Marion Jousseaume, in the Micro-Folie projection room.

"This event puts our region in the spotlight. This exceptional collection has been in the making for a long time. La Villette and the Drac [regional directorates of cultural affairs] select the works. This is our twentieth collection. It features some forty tangible and intangible works, representing some thirty cultural institutions: the most iconic among 350 works. One of our aims is to encourage people to visit the museums of Pays de la Loire after viewing the works," explains Philippe Bauquel, President of Culture en folie.

Four conferences a year

These treasures can now be consulted at the Micro-Folie, during free sessions. Following the private unveiling of this collection, members of the two associations, Culture en folie and AVF, signed a partnership agreement, regularizing their collaboration around the establishment of a series of lectures, to be given by volunteers from the AVF association, starting in January 2026.

Our partnership began with the Onda Latina festival in February 2025, when some of our members offered to share their knowledge,"says Viviane Vantomme, president of AVF. We and the members of Culture en folie share the same goal: to promote know-how, pass on knowledge and bring culture to life in Le Pouliguen. It's a sharing of human and technical resources.

Formalizing this partnership is indeed compulsory, given that Micro-Folie makes available its equipment and its convivial space. After the sessions, there will be time for discussion with the speaker.

These conferences are open to all, and free of charge. The first of the four scheduled for the year will take place on Wednesday January 21, from 3 to 4 pm, and will focus on biological diversity and biodiversity, with Jean-Louis Berthon.
