Morocco/CAN 2025: AGL, a partner committed to African youth
As part of the Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 (CAF), Africa Global Logistics (AGL), CAF's official logistics partner, has launched the "AGL Moving Tour", an itinerant caravan designed to celebrate African soccer, while generating a concrete impact in local communities.
In partnership with the Moroccan association Tibu Africa, AGL deployed an ambitious sponsorship program with solidarity initiatives centered around three flagship actions carried out from Casablanca to Tangier, via Marrakech, which directly benefited hundreds of children and young people from neighborhoods and schools.from Casablanca to Tangiers, via Marrakech, which directly benefited hundreds of children and young people from local neighborhoods and schools.
Through its "AGL Moving Tour" initiative, the logistics operator has fully equipped a sports-study dormitory at the "Développement Humain par le Sport" complex in Casablanca. This facility caters for 20 students a year, combining academic success with sporting excellence.
In the city of Marrakech, nearly 80 elementary school children took part in the Education through Sport Festival, with a program featuring fun workshops, health/nutrition awareness-raising, an interactive tour of logistics and logistics professions, and a "sports and sports" workshop. The program included fun workshops, health/nutrition awareness-raising, an interactive presentation of logistics professions and the workings of a container port, punctuated by the presentation of sports equipment for sustainable practice in the schools.
Also in connection with the AGL Moving Tour, the basketball court at the Ibn Hazm school in Tangier's old town was completely renovated. It is now safe and equipped for over 100 beneficiaries, including school children and young people from the Bouhout district.
For AGL's managers, all these initiatives converge towards a clear objective: to offer children and teenagers privileged access to sport and quality education, while consolidating social cohesion.
"Through our AGL Moving Tour caravan, we are demonstrating that logistics can serve sport, education and communities. Beyond the sporting competition being held in Morocco, we want to leave a concrete and lasting legacy through these sports facilities, and affirm that sport is a real lever for education, social cohesion and the development of the community.of education, inclusion and equal opportunity for young people", said Khadija Komara, AGL's Director of Communications and Philanthropy.
For this new year, he added, AGL intends to reaffirm its determination to be a player at the heart of Africa's transformations, with a positive and lasting impact, at the service of young people, territories and African communities.
