France/Ceyrat: renewal of twinning activities with Oradea and positive results
Martine Duchaine and Marie-Françoise Macel, co-presidents of the Ceyrat-Oradea Romanian twinning committee, reviewed their activity report at the annual general meeting.
A bingo was organized on January 17, raising a profit of €544.33.
Contacts with Oradea are still ongoing. The state of health of Dana, representative of the Romanian twinning, no longer allows her to be involved in the twinning. After several contacts with the former president, good news finally arrived. Bianca Marineau, a French teacher at the college, is to replace Dana.
Cristian Bugle, former principal of the school, would like to move to Ceyrat, but discussions will have to be held with the Oradea town council.
Treasurer Daniel Thiriet announced a positive 2025 balance of €687.79. The membership fee remains unchanged at €12 per family.
As for the 2026 activities, the lotto evening will be repeated on Friday January 16, at 8pm, at La Griffe, and the committee will take part in the associations forum in September.
The AuRA judo league is planning a meeting with the town of Oradea at the Arténium in Ceyrat. The twinning committee will be offering its volunteers to help with logistics.
The committee will propose a Romanian, English, Italian and German multi-twinning sports exchange in 2027.
Georgette Morange-Tonnerre, outgoing member of the Board of Directors, was unanimously re-elected. Outgoing member Jean-André Sully resigned.
