The process of digitizing administrative procedures launched last November at the Ministry of Energy and Mining Resources has resulted in the dematerialization of 29 services. The announcement was made at the end of last week at a meeting dedicated to presenting the achievements of the various teams, after a month's work, in the presence of the Minister for the Digital Economy and Transformation, Cina Lawson, and the Minister Delegate in charge of Energy, Robert Eklo.

The dematerialized procedures now apply in particular to structures under the Ministry's supervision, including the Compagnie Énergie Électrique du Togo (CEET), Agence Togolaise d'Électrification Rurale et des Energies Renouvelables (AT2ER) and Autorité de Régulation du Secteur de l'Électricité (ARSE).

According to the authorities, this digitization is intended to improve the productivity of administrative teams, while saving users time and reducing the costs associated with physical procedures.

A total of 31 administrative procedures were initially identified. To date, 29 services have already been integrated into the official public services digital portal. The Ministry has set itself the goal of making all its procedures accessible online from January 2026, with the introduction of enhanced support for users who do not have sufficient digital equipment or skills.

This step forward is part of the government's policy of gradually digitizing public services. After the Ministry of Energy, other ministerial departments are expected to follow in January 2026.
