Canada/AD25 at CÉGEP DE Rivière-du-Loup: "Ah, but what a circus!
Art and design students at CÉGEP de Rivière-du-Loup get creative during AD25 week.
The 9th edition of the "Ah, Mais quel cirque! "kicked off on Monday and runs until Friday. The three cohorts from the visual arts, graphic design and interior design programs are able to bring their creativity to the fore by tackling other themes that are not part of the school curriculum. This network enables young people to push their technique and imagination through different workshops organized by teachers. There's a good turnout, and the theme, inspired by the social context, gets the young artists bubbling over with ideas.
"In our life in our world, we know that everything that is good and useful is not easily accessible. The environment, politics, etc., we put it all together and came up with questions for our artists," explains Sylvie Pelletier, art teacher, CÉGEP de Rivière-du-Loup.
The public is invited to visit the ephemeral boutique, which will be set up in the two exhibition halls at the entrance to the Cégep, this Friday from 11:00 am. In addition to finding great Christmas gift ideas, you'll be able to meet the students and see the fruits of their labor.
"We've got lots of three-dimensional activities, 3D printers and mobiles. We have a circus we call the typographic circus, which is a mix of collage and typography," concludes Sylvie Pelletier.
