France/Saint-Paul: AP2B celebrates twenty-five years of twinning between Haute Gironde and Burgundy
The Association des pays de Blaye et de Bourgogne gathered its members to celebrate a quarter-century of exchanges and conviviality.
60 past and present members of the Association des pays de Blaye et de Bourgogne (AP2B) met on...
Its initial aim was to develop links between the Blayais and Bresse regions, and now Burgundy. Meetings between the two "countries", sometimes hosted by one, sometimes by the other, are a highlight of the association. The AP2B has carried out many other activities, including the publication of books such as "Hommes et femmes célebres de Haute Gironde", "L'abécédaire du pays de Blaye" and recipe books. All of this was recounted in a projection, before guests shared memories and the sweets prepared for the sweet and savory buffet.
For President Pierre Maréchal, "the AP2B was able to exploit all the ingredients needed for a good recipe: sweet and savory, conviviality and activities, sharing and esteem, so that the twinning between Haute Gironde and Burgundy lives on."
