Moldova/Francophony and employability go hand in hand in the Republic of Moldova

The 4ᵉ edition of the Forum des Formations et de l'Employabilité Francophones was held on October 08 and 09, 2025 at the Palace of the Republic in Chișinău, creating strong synergies between Moldovan universities members of the AUF, French-speaking companies, as well as many young entrepreneurs and students.

Organized by the AUF National Office in the Republic of Moldova, under the coordination of its head, Ms Claudia Vișan, and in close partnership with the French Embassy, the Swiss Cooperation Office in Moldova, with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium, the Ministry of Education and Research, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, GIZ Moldova and other partners, this event has become an unmissable event for the world of education.Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium, the Ministry of Education and Research, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, GIZ Moldova and other partners, this event has become an unmissable rendezvous for the academic and economic Francophonie.

A high-level opening ceremony
The official inauguration was honored by the participation of high-level diplomatic and institutional personalities. Now a tradition, the forum had two major objectives:
- to showcase the French-speaking university education offered by Moldavian universities belonging to the AUF, which include seven French-speaking courses and three FLE departments;
- to strengthen the links between the French-speaking world of science and the French-speaking world of business, by encouraging direct encounters between students, companies and partner institutions.

University stands reflected the vitality and diversity of the local academic Francophonie, while the presence of Francophone companies and young entrepreneurs offered visitors concrete exchanges on internship, employment and innovation prospects.

Dynamic round tables and workshops
Three round tables punctuated the two-day forum:
- Your professional future in French: opportunities, careers, winning career paths - moderated by Maria Neagu, Cooperation Attaché at the French Embassy;
- Young people and employability: succeeding in a changing world - led by Jean-Claude Million, student entrepreneurship expert (France);
- La francophonie en action: educational pathways, science and professional future dedicated to students in bilingual classes - moderated by Ghenadie Râbacov, Coordinator of the Francophone Bilingual Classes Project in Moldova.

These rich, interactive discussions provided an opportunity to cross the views of academics, entrepreneurs, former students and international experts, including: Caroline Berger, Olga Begun, Tatiana Platon, Regina Mitrean, Arayik Navoyan, Vadim Pasnicenco, Adriana Pătrașcu, Roman Cozma, Grigore Guzun and Paula Bolduratu.

Disciplinary workshops led by students from the French-speaking streams showcased the creativity and team spirit of the young people, in a variety of fields.They covered a wide range of fields, including food technology, IT, law, economics, tourism and medicine.
The Café francophone, hosted in a convivial and participative atmosphere by the Lectorat de français de Moldova and future FLE teacher students, was one of the highlights of the event.te one of the highlights of the Forum, bringing participants together around fun activities, quizzes and spontaneous exchanges in French.

This 4ᵉ edition of the Forum des Formations et de l'Employabilité Francophones stands out as a space for dialogue, inspiration and opportunities, where training, innovation and international cooperation meet.
Thanks to the mobilization of all partners, the event helps to promote the French language as a strategic lever for the professional future of young people, and to affirm Moldova's place in the great family of the French-speaking world.
