36 of the 95 clubs in the town were present at the 3rd edition of the associations forum on Saturday September 13.

On Saturday September 13, the Forum des associations once again highlighted Casteljaloux's associative fabric. Sporting, cultural, social and solidarity-based, 36 of the 95 associations in the town were present for this3rd edition. This forum illustrates the strength of the partnership between the town and its associations," emphasizes Laurent Ducasse, first deputy in charge of associations. Over and above subsidies, it's the logistical and human support that enables Casteljaloux to shine.

The associations will also be mobilized for upcoming major events such as the 21 km or the Telethon.

Among the newcomers, Vanua Fenua charmed visitors; Harmonie, co-founder, presented this association dedicated to Oceanian culture. The association Les Extraordinaires d'Aquitaine unveiled its project for a home for autistic children not attending school. A 2,000-strong solidarity relay is being prepared to raise the necessary funds.

A space for exchange

Another new feature: the SEM 24-47 association shared its commitment to promoting links between deaf, hard-of-hearing and hearing people. Les Amis de la Restauration de l'Église (Friends of the Restoration of the Church) also stressed the importance of preserving this local heritage. A fund-raising campaign will shortly be launched with the Fondation du Patrimoine, supported by the town council and associations.

Beyond the diversity of the stands - whether sporting, cultural or socio-cultural - the Forum des associations was above all a space for exchanges and meetings between local players, fostering lasting partnerships. "This event not only showcases the work of associations, but also inspires new vocations, attracts volunteers and reveals new talents. It strengthens ties", stressed Julie Castillo, Mayor of Casteljaloux, and Laurent Ducasse. And to conclude: "A town that moves thanks to its associations is a town that progresses.
