Benin/Bantè, N'Dali and Natitingou: FNDA and Swiss Cooperation take delivery of agricultural infrastructures
From August 10 to 14, 2025, a joint mission from the FNDA, Swiss Cooperation, Swisscontact and Lares visited Agricultural Development Poles 3 and 4 (UDP AD and UDP BA) to carry out the provisional acceptance and monitoring of ongoing projects. Everywhere it went, the delegation noted the satisfaction of the beneficiaries, who expressed their gratitude to the FNDA and its technical and financial partners.
The mission ended on Thursday August 14 in Bantè, with the official handover of an optical rice sorter, a storage warehouse for processed rice and an office for the Coopérative des femmes étuvuses de riz. With a capacity of 50 tonnes, the warehouse will enable the women to better preserve their finished products for marketing. Entirely financed by the FNDA with the support of the Swiss Cooperation, this infrastructure meets a pressing need.
According to the local president of the CCER Bantè, Madame Nananko KANGNIHOUN, this equipment is a real relief: the women now have adequate storage space, while the optical sorter improves both the quantity and quality of the rice produced.
In addition to Bantè, the delegation also visited N'Dali and Natitingou for the follow-up and provisional acceptance of other projects.
In N'Dali (Bahounkpo and Komiguéa): monitoring of an integrated unit combining layer hen rearing, fish farming, market gardening and improved mango production (Kint and Amélie varieties). The mission also inspected two modern 2000-layer hen houses for the CEA DUMARU cooperative.
In Natitingou (Koudengou): reception of a feed storage warehouse and a block for feed production equipment, as part of a project to boost table egg production and open a sales outlet. The delegation also visited a 100-hectare rice-growing lowland area, 50 hectares of which has already been rehabilitated to 85% completion level.
In Natitingou center: monitoring of construction work on a 500-ton storage warehouse for the village rice producers' cooperative.
According to Claude ACAKPO, Managing Director representing the Ministry of Economy and Finance at the FNDA, this joint mission aims to evaluate achievements in the field, draw lessons from them, and mobilize the necessary support to seek additional funding.
