France/In Pont-Aven, German-speaking members of the twinning committee welcome the president of the Hofgeismar committee

Fifteen German-speaking members of the Pont-Aven Hofgeismar twinning committee met for the second time this summer at the Bar-Tabac Le Bois d'Amour for a "Stammtisch".

These monthly get-togethers (second and last Thursday of the month) were due to be put on hold over the summer, but by popular demand they still took place. On Thursday August 14, the members of the Twinning Committee also welcomed the President of the German Twinning Committee, Maryvonne Jacq. It was a great opportunity to catch up on news from the twinned town, and to discuss upcoming projects such as the associations' forum on Friday September 5, or the setting up of projects with public and private elementary school to introduce children to German culture.
