The Report'Cité association aims to raise public awareness of media use. It goes out to meet the public, "in the places where they live, in the associations where they meet, in the neighborhood structures they frequent, in schools and tomorrow, why not, in accommodation structures."

In this way, it carries out actions in situ, and produces information in collaboration with users, so that they are no longer simply consumers of data, but are engaged as enlightened readers. The Report'Cité team of journalists Karoll Petit, Lucie Tanneau, Aliénor Ouvrard, Samuel Lebrun, Tiphaine Crezé and Sébastien Rochard took part in the exhibition, accompanying the schoolchildren.

Since 2024, the media library in Les Ponts-de-Cé has been developing a program to raise awareness of information production for cycle 3 classes, in partnership with the Angevine association Report'Cité. By understanding and analyzing images and information, exploring their environment as reporters and creating a local media outlet, apprentice journalists in Les Ponts-de-Cé acquire the keys to understanding the media and developing their critical faculties.

The media library nominated at the Assises du journalisme

The Antoine-de-Saint-Exupéry media library in Les Ponts-de-Cé was nominated in the library category of the Éducation aux médias et à l'information prize, organized for the past two years at the Assises du journalisme in Tours. Last March, Marion Chadebec, head of the media library, and Aurélie Jacquesson, librarian, defended their project before the jury, chaired by journalist Bruce Toussaint. Unfortunately, the jury chose another project.

Rive d'Arts opened its doors in April 2016. The former Cannelle premises, a major factory in Ponts-de-Cé, were renovated and transformed into a place dedicated to creativity. In addition to welcoming artists year-round in its workshops, it has become the town's flagship exhibition venue. Situated on the banks of the Loire, Rive d'arts offers the opportunity for a cultural visit as you stroll along the river.
