Morocco/Les premières Assises nationales de l'Intelligence artificielle, July 1-2 in Rabat
Under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform is organizing the first National Artificial Intelligence Conference on July 1 and 2 in Rabat, under the theme "An efficient and ethical AI strategy to serve our society".

This unprecedented national meeting will bring together representatives from several ministries and public institutions, the private sector, investment funds, sovereign wealth funds and Moroccan startups, as well as international personalities, academics, civil society and talents from the diaspora.

With regard to the trajectory of strategic autonomy, the press release explains that the Assises will be structured around 13 verticals, representing the areas where AI can have the most transformative impact for Morocco.
These include administrative reform and modernization, education and new pedagogies, sports, health and precision medicine, smart agriculture and fish production, industry X.0, security and sovereignty, culture and creativity, media and democracy, international cooperation, governance, trust and ethics, innovation and startups, and infrastructure and investment.
The conference program is divided into two segments, with the first day devoted to sector-specific technical sessions and demonstrations of innovative AI-enabled startups, and the second focusing on the political dimensions and international cooperation of AI.
The closing ceremony will be an opportunity to present the recommendations arising from these two days of exchange, says the press release, adding that several memorandums of understanding with national and international organizations will also be signed.
