Through a press briefing held on June 5, 2025, the 7th arrondissement commune opened the 2025 budget session within the said commune.

In his speech, Iba Gawa, the delegated administrator of the 7th arrondissement commune, stated that the budget session is a statutory body dedicated at the beginning of each year to examining and adapting the budget, and to the institution for its management. He also referred to the texts authorizing the holding of an extraordinary session to revise the budget adopted at the beginning of the year.

According to him, the budget for the 2024 financial year was 2,714,522,740 FCFA, while that for the 2025 financial year had seen a slight decrease due to the fact that forecast revenues did not reach the threshold. Revenues and expenses were balanced at 2,508,790,727 FCFA.

He pointed out that this slight drop is explained by the hope of setting up a long-awaited mechanism, which will enable good results to be achieved in revenue collection.

This budget, with total income and expenditure of 3,790,330,548 FCFA, is the fruit of a concerted effort.
