France/At Chevrières, an oak coat of arms for the 40th anniversary of the twinning with Germany
The twinning committee's motto, "Faithful in friendship", was engraved on the coat of arms by a local self-employed contractor.
The Chevrières Zunsweier twinning committee is celebrating its fortieth anniversary. To mark the occasion, Emmanuel Boëns, a young local self-employed entrepreneur, has created a handsome coat of arms in solid oak. It will be presented to the Zunsweir committee by the 40-strong Chevriote delegation, during the trip organized from Thursday May 29 to Sunday June 1. The association's motto has been engraved on the coat of arms: " Faithful in friendship". " This twinning represents some wonderful stories and encounters," says president Marcel Fouet. Fouet, Bernard Gallet and Marie-Danièle Cadot, the three founding members, have been staying with the same families for 40 years. " It's much more than a twinning," they smile in unison. A trip for young people aged 10 to 18 is also organized every year during the All Saints' vacation.
