France/ A partnership agreement to strengthen and develop links between Segré and the Army
A partnership agreement between the command and logistics company of the 6th engineering regiment and the commune of Segré-en-Anjou Bleu was signed on Thursday May 8, 2025.
On April 24, deputy mayor Jean-Olivier Bouvet presented the agreement to be signed with the command and logistics company (CCL) of the 6th engineer regiment, with the aim of strengthening the Army-Nation link, developing a relationship of mutual trust and reciprocal cooperation. This partnership will be based on two major axes: the active participation of the company in the various requests made by the commune, and the provision by the commune of training, accommodation and exercise facilities for the benefit of the company.On Thursday May 8th, in the "salle des abeilles" on the1st floor of the town hall, the commune of Segré-en-Anjou Bleu was represented by the mayor, Geneviève Besson.e by Mayor Geneviève Coquereau; the Command and Logistics Company of the 6th Engineer Regiment, by Captain Sylvia Otto-Bruc.
Commitments on both sides
For the Ministry of the Armed Forces, to the extent of its availability and possibilities, and taking into account its operational missions which remain a priority, the CDC undertakes totake part in ceremonies; participate in all cultural and sporting exchanges; and anticipate all requests to the commune.
For its part, the town of Segré-en-Anjou Bleu, respecting the powers granted to the mayor, undertakes to facilitate access for the troops to its territory.The town of Segré-en-Anjou Bleu, respecting the powers granted to the mayor, undertakes to facilitate access for troops to its territory for maneuvers and exercises, and to facilitate exchanges with schools, shopkeepers, associations and local services.
After the signings, Captain Sylvia Otto-Bruc explained the reason for choosing the Segré region: "The reason is simple, we're at 4% of our workforce including a certain number of Segréans, so it was a no-brainer to choose this region, to strengthen and develop ties."
