France/Thirty Brest residents welcome their Plymouth pen pals as part of the twinning programme
The annual Brest-Jumelages trip to Plymouth took place from Thursday May 8 to Sunday May 11, 2025. Exchanges took place in good spirits, thanks to the strong bonds of friendship.
"Thanks to the commitment of a small team of active volunteers on both sides, the 28 members enjoyed a trip rich in activities and visits. This year, the trip to Exeter was the highlight, with a guided tour of the cathedral and a boat trip on the Exeter canal.Exeter Canal, which many ti-zefs discovered for the first time", says Annie Tarsiguel, president of the ABJ. Well-known in Plymouth, the Breton music group Bepsort and their English acolytes livened up the festive evening for almost 100 guests and an afternoon in the pub. Marilyn Goldsbrough, president of Plymouth-Brest, and all the English members are expected in the city of Ponant from Monday September 19 to Wednesday September 21. The Brest team will soon be getting together with delegates Annie Tarsiguel and Chantal Le Roy to plan a wonderful visit to their friends.
