A workshop to strengthen the media ecosystem of the Resilience for Peace Project (R4P), funded by the American people through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), was held on Monday, July 15, 2024 at the Bouna youth center.

The workshop enabled members of the media ecosystem, including influencers, radio directors, content validation groups and online journalists based in Bouna, to meet and discuss their respective missions.

This exchange of views helped to promote a better understanding of each other's roles, and underlined the importance of effective collaboration to achieve the objectives of the Resilience pour la Paix (R4P) project, namely to focus on the need to strengthen community resilience in the face of rising violent extremism.

During the workshop, members of the media ecosystem drew up several action plans aimed at coordinating their efforts around topical issues relevant to Bouna. These action plans include specific activities to be undertaken in synergy, focusing on coverage of topics and production of radio programs with informative content relevant to the community.

The Resilience for Peace project has been implemented in the northern border regions of Côte d'Ivoire since 2021 and aims to perpetuate, through its ecosystem, actions to strengthen resilience to violent extremism.
