France/Books to mark the twinning of Altenbruch and Sulniac
On returning from a trip to Altenbruch last week, the library saw the addition of a Franco-German shelf.
In fact, the commune of Altenbruch donated some forty books on literature, cooking and learning to its correspondents, and received the equivalent from the Sulniac community. During their stay in Germany, the French enjoyed a number of highlights, including a cruise on the River Elbe, a visit to off-shore installations, and a tour of the Bremen and Science Museums. Next year, the twinning will celebrate its 40th anniversary.
