In April, the municipal council approved a modulation of meal prices at the municipal canteen. From September onwards, meal prices will be different and progressive according to family income.

"The aim is to enable all pupils to benefit from a complete and balanced meal, which is essential for their concentration and the smooth progress of their learning. This measure also contributes to reducing inequalities from an early age ", explains Mayor Serge Jalu. The scheme will run for three school years, from September 2024 to August 2027, thanks to support from the French government, which "undertakes to pay a subsidy per eligible meal to local authorities, provided they comply with the Egalim law on collective catering ".

Prices per meal will vary according to family quotient (QF), from €1 (QF less than or equal to €1,000 per month) to 3.92 (FQ greater than or equal to €1,300 per month) to €3.72 (FQ between €1,001 and €1,229 per month). " Without justification, the price of the meal will be €3.92, the same as for families from outside the commune with a contribution from their commune, and €5 without a contribution from their commune of residence.
