Morocco-Mexico/Partnership agreement between the Open University of Dakhla and the Autonomous University of Mexico

Mexico City - A partnership agreement was signed on Tuesday in Mexico City between the Open University of Dakhla (UOD) and the Autonomous Metropolitan University of Mexico (UAM), with the aim of consolidating cooperation in the fields of scientific research and academic training.

Signed by UOD president Driss Guerraoui and his UAM counterpart José Antonio de los Reyes Heredia, in the presence of Morocco's ambassador to Mexico, Abdelfattah Lebbar, the agreement aims to establish a framework for cooperation between the two institutions to promote the exchange of expertise and experience, and develop training programs.agreement aims to establish a framework for cooperation between the two institutions to promote the exchange of expertise and experience, and develop training programs.

The four-year renewable agreement also provides for the exchange of professors and students, the organization of conferences, and the development of research projects.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Guerraoui emphasized that the signing of this agreement reflects the shared desire to strengthen a partnership based on the exchange of knowledge and experience, and the promotion of innovation.

For his part, the President of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana de México affirmed that the establishment of a framework for cooperation with the Open University of Dakhla was a new step in the development of the university. Dakhla is a new milestone in cooperation between the two countries' academic institutions, expressing confidence that such an agreement will have positive effects in the fields of research, training and culture.

The UOD, created in 2010 by the Association d'études et de recherches pour le développement, aims to promote studies and research in the fields of economic, social, environmental and cultural development.

Founded in 1974, the UAM has more than 100,000 students and offers training in several disciplines, including engineering, humanities, economics and social sciences.
