Chad: UNFPA provides reproductive health training in Bol

The Lac provincial health delegation, with the support of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), has been organizing a training workshop for trainers in life education and reproductive health in the humanitarian context in Bol since midday today.

The aim of this workshop is to build the capacity of trainers in humanitarian zones on topics relating to life education and reproductive health.

This, in order to facilitate access to reliable information on sexual and reproductive health, as well as the development of life skills. Liliane Remadji Djimtourdé, UNFPA's resident representative in Chad and the organization's focal point at the Lac, stressed the importance of meeting the many challenges in the field of reproductive health.

She reaffirmed UNFPA's commitment to supporting the government in strengthening actions promoting access to sexual and reproductive health services for young people and adolescents. Dr Ndilkissim Dotom, Chief Medical Officer of the Bol health district and representative of the Lac provincial health delegate, highlighted the importance of the workshop.

He encouraged participants to be attentive and to disseminate the knowledge acquired. On this occasion, Liliane Remadji Djimtourdé handed over the National Manual on Education for Life and Reproductive Health to the Chief Medical Officer of the Bol health district.
