Morocco/Meeting in Rabat to review and amend the Family Code
As part of the project to amend and revise the Family Code, a meeting was held on Saturday in Rabat, at the headquarters of the Académie du Royaume, attended by the Minister of Justice, the Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary, the Chairman of the Public Prosecutor's Office, as well as the Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Ulemas, the President of the National Council for Human Rights and the Minister for Solidarity, Social Integration and the Family.
This meeting is part of the methodology advocated by the Royal Letter concerning the revision of the Family Code, which aims to reconcile the centrality of the legal and judicial dimensions of the issue with the points of view of Sharia and human rights or those linked to public policies in the field of the family, which constitutes the essential core of society.The aim is to reconcile the centrality of the legal and judicial dimensions of the issue with the viewpoints of Sharia and human rights, or those linked to public policies in the field of the family, which constitutes the essential core of society.
