Tunisian-Japanese partnership: towards the creation of a cutting-edge cardiovascular medicine center

The creation of this center of excellence for cardiovascular medicine was the focus of a meeting between Health Minister Ali Mrabet, Japanese Senator Tetsuro Yano and Japanese Ambassador to Tunisia Takeshi Osuga.

Partnership projects in the healthcare field, discussed at the 8th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD8), were the focus of a meeting held Tuesday afternoon between the Minister of Health, Ali Mrabet, the Japanese Senator and President of the Japanese Association for the Economic Development of Africa (AFRECO), Tetsuro Yano, and the Japanese Ambassador to Japan.Minister of Health, Ali Mrabet, Japanese Senator and President of the Japanese Association for the Economic Development of Africa (AFRECO), Tetsuro Yano, and the Japanese Ambassador to Tunisia, Takeshi Osuga.

This is according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Health and relayed by Agence Tunis Afrique Presse (TAP/officiel).

A center of excellence in cardiovascular medicine was the focus of the meeting. According to the same source, this is a center for the training and treatment of cardiovascular diseases using cutting-edge technology.

On this occasion, the Minister of Health welcomed the Tunisian-Japanese partnership in the field of health, underlining the importance of the project for a center of excellence in cardiovascular medecine in promoting health training and research in Tunisia and Africa, while the Japanese senator reaffirmed his country's commitment to developing the partnership with Tunisia in all fields, according to TAP.
