Togo, United States

In Togo, the United States is supporting some twenty rural structures, to the tune of over 100 million FCFA, through two micro-grant programs: Self-Help and the Resilience Fund, according to their embassy in Lomé. Under the Self-Help program, a total of $70,000 (or 43.4 million FCFA) has been allocated to 19 rural structures. This initiative aims to improve the quality of life of village dwellers across the country by awarding small grants for various projects in sectors such as agriculture, health and education.

At the same time, the Ambassador's Resilience Fund will allocate a total of $100,000 (62 million FCFA) to six rural organizations. These funds will help combat the recruitment of young people in the Savanes region by violent extremist groups. According to the American representation, this initiative is part of the United States' commitment to promoting stability and sustainable development in the region by strengthening the capacities of local communities.

The Self-Help program, launched in 1964, provides grants of up to $5,000 per organization to support community development projects.
