Canada/New cultural policy for the Matapédia RCM

A new cultural policy was adopted by the Matapédia MRC at its last council meeting.

The policy had not been updated since 2005. Through validation activities, consultation with the region's cultural community and a diagnosis of the current situation, three axes were proposed. Access to and diversification of culture, identity and a sense of belonging, and promotion and support for the arts. Chantal Lavoie, Prefect of the MRC de La Matapédia, is proud of the actions undertaken and the progress made since 2005.
