France/Two calls for proposals in the field of sport: local authorities can apply

The European Commission's Education and Culture Executive Agency has launched two calls for proposals for 2023 pilot projects in the field of sport.

• The Pilot Project call - "Sport for people and planet - A new approach to sustainability through sport in Europe."

This action will use the power of sport to raise European citizens' awareness of the importance of sustainability and help them understand how they can contribute to social cohesion and environmental protection. The main aim of this action will be to encourage community integration of children and young people affected by the humanitarian crisis and massive migratory processes in the context of war. The world of sport can help people affected by humanitarian crises to resolve trauma, adapt to new environments, forge links with temporary host communities and promote their mental and physical well-being. Sports activities, with their power to bring people together, will contribute to interaction with the host community and facilitate integration into the education system and the job market.
