Chad: Kelo Town Hall assesses its achievements

The commune of Kelo held its ordinary session to evaluate the primitive budget for the year 2023 on September 26, 2023, in the meeting room of the said commune.

The session was chaired by the Secretary General of the Tandjilé Ouest department, Ali Abakar Issa. The main objective of the meeting was to evaluate the provisional budget adopted at the beginning of the year during the budget session, to note the achievements made to date, and to discuss any difficulties encountered with a view to implementing the budget.and to discuss the difficulties encountered, with a view to proposing solutions for the adoption of the forthcoming provisional budget.

The mayor of Kelo commune, Bessingar Bazo, underlined the financial challenges they have had to face, as well as the climatic hazards that have had an impact on the execution of the budget for the year 2023.

For his part, the Secretary General of the Tandjilé Ouest department, Ali Abakar Issa, reminded the municipal councillors of the importance of their responsibility, and encouraged them to engage in open and constructive debate to meet these challenges.

These budget and evaluation sessions are held in accordance with the legal provisions in force, and take place before the end of the year. The ceremony was also attended by heads of administrative and military services, civil society leaders, religious leaders and partner organizations from the Kelo commune.
