The General Coordinator of the Academy of Women for Entrepreneurship, Empowerment and Leadership (Afeal), Désirée Djomand, and the Director General of Decentralization and Local Development (Dgddl), Fidèle Yapi, signed yesterday, on behalf of their respective structures, a partnership agreement on the development and strengthening of women's skills in local government. The signing of the cooperation agreement took place in the premises of the Dgddl in Plateau.

Fidèle Yapi marked the commitment of the Dgddl to accompany the Women's Academy for Entrepreneurship, Empowerment and Leadership in its project of education, training and capacity building of women in Côte d'Ivoire, particularly those living in communities and even in the most remote areas of the country. He said that the Dgddl is committed to supporting the Women's Academy for Entrepreneurship, Empowerment and Leadership in its project to educate, train and build the capacity of women in Côte d'Ivoire, particularly those living in communities and even in the most remote areas of the country. "Afeal is a learned society, which we welcome with great satisfaction. How can we not support it in achieving its objectives? We will, for our part, offer you everything you need. We will offer you the framework and accompany you in the search for funding," promised the Director General of Decentralization and Local Development. He added that Afeal will be at the forefront of women's training projects in which the Dgddl is a stakeholder.

Désirée Djomand welcomed the support of the Dgddl to Afeal. Which, she said, "is a tool for education and training of women, but also a platform for dialogue and consultation of women. The institution, which already benefits from strong institutional support, provides face-to-face and online training to women at "well studied" fees. The general coordinator stressed that many women will benefit from the trainings through the partnership mechanism.

For the president of the board of directors of Afeal, Madeleine Yao, "the Academy is on the right track. It offers and proposes empowerment alternatives to women, through its skills development and leadership training programs. "All women will have their sequence to learn," reassured Madeleine Yao.
