France/Champagne. The city medal to a volunteer
During the ceremony of the new year in Champagné, Patrick Desmazières, the mayor, saluted the work of the associations of the commune. In particular, he gave the city medal to Jean Pineau, who has been the head of Générations mouvement for eleven years.
At the last general meeting in December, the president did not wish to run for re-election. The club has grown to more than 250 members. It is the association of Champagné that has the most members," said the mayor. A floral arrangement was presented to Josiane Pineau, his wife. Such an involvement requires an effort from the spouse as well", he added. Josiane Pineau is herself very involved in the club as she has been in charge of travel for a long time.
Sylvie Bodin, president of the Country Star, was also awarded flowers to thank her for having organized the Telethon again, in partnership with other local associations and the commune. The event had not been held for several years.
