Human rights, governance and empowerment of women" were the focus of a training session held Wednesday in Laayoune, at the initiative of the Sahrawi Women's Forum for Democracy and Development.

This three-day training is initiated with the support and in partnership with the International Republican Institute (IRI) and the Regional Commission for Human Rights (CRDH) of Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra.

For his part, Hamadi Filali, member of the CRDH Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra, stressed that the program of this session includes sessions on the themes of "international mechanisms for the protection of human rights" and "the role of mechanisms for the protection of human rights".Human" and "the role of participatory democracy mechanisms through the consultative bodies in the regions and municipalities", as well as "the procedures for managing petitions".

Young women, students and civil activists participate in this training, which is supervised by members of the CRDH, in order to strengthen their capacities and promote their societal participation.
