Benin/Improving diagnosis and patient care: The dialysis and scanning units of the CHUD Borgou-Alibori inaugurated

The Minister of Health, Prof. Benjamin HOUNKPATIN proceeded on Friday, June 24, 2022 in Parakou, to the inauguration of the scanning and dialysis units of the Departmental University Hospital Center (CHUD) Borgou Alibori. The First Vice President of the National Assembly, Robert GBIAN, the Prefect of the department of Borgou, Djibril MAMA CISSE, and several political and administrative authorities of the town of Parakou took part in this ceremony.

An imposing building houses the 64-bar scanner and its latest generation equipment. This ultramodern unit will clearly contribute to improving the quality of diagnosis and patient care in the 4 departments of northern Benin and its surroundings. It will also make it easier to perform radiology and interventional cardiology procedures. The Government has also strengthened the nephrology department of this hospital through the acquisition, installation and commissioning of 8 dialysis generators, a hemodiafiltration machine and a water treatment and distribution unit. With this equipment, dialysis patients will be treated in better conditions.

The Government always keeps its promises

All were unanimous in recognizing this quality of the Government of President Patrice TALON which is reflected in the respect of its commitments. The Director of the hospital, Prof. Julien Didier ADEDEMY, the Vice President of the National Assembly and the Prefect of the Department congratulated the Government for having translated into concrete action this ambition included in its Action Program.

During his speech, the Minister of Health reaffirmed the commitment of the Government to concretize all the projects announced. "The Government always puts its money where its mouth is". With these words, he reassured the Director General of the Departmental University Hospital Borgou Alibori, all the agents and the populations of the departments of Borgou, Alibori, Atacora and Donga.Atacora and Donga that the project of rehabilitation or construction of health centers registered at the level of the PAG 2 is already being implemented and the CHUD Borgou-Alibori is registered in good place.
