Morocco/Fez: a medical campaign for foreign nationals in difficult situations

To provide the necessary medical assistance to students and nationals of foreign countries living in precarious health conditions. This was the ambition of a multidisciplinary medical campaign organized in Fez by the Hassan II University Hospital and the Association of Foreign Students of the Faculty of Medicine, Pharmacy and Dentistry, in partnership with the Association "Action urgence Fez-Meknes".

A multidisciplinary medical campaign was organized last Sunday in Fez, for the benefit of foreign nationals living in Morocco and who are in difficult situation. This action was jointly organized by the Association of Foreign Students of the Faculty of Medicine, Pharmacy and Dentistry and the University Hospital Center (CHU) Hassan II. This humanitarian initiative, organized in partnership with the Association "Action Urgence Fez-Meknes", has mobilized a medical staff composed of some 37 volunteer doctors from different specialties. 37 volunteer doctors from different medical specialties, nurses and specialized technicians, as well as volunteers.
According to the president of the Association of Foreign Students of the Faculty of Medicine, Pharmacy and Dentistry, Adrien Kouakou Kouassi, an Ivorian student in medicine, this medical solidarity operation was a success.This medical solidarity operation targeted all students and foreign nationals who have difficulties in accessing health care in the region. This campaign, which is in its eighth edition, aimed at meeting the needs of people in difficult situations, he said, praising the support and assistance of Hassan University Hospital in Fès, without which this initiative could not have succeeded, and stressing the readiness of the Association to continue on this path by organizing throughout the year such operations.

For her part, Dr. Nawal Mouhoute, head of the communication and cooperation department at Hassan II University Hospital in Fez, praised the spirit of solidarity and the humanitarian and humanitarian fiber, as well as the commitment of volunteer doctors and students to provide the necessary medical assistance to poor patients. In this regard, she noted that this operation has covered several medical specialties, including consultations in neurology, dermatology, gynecology, internal medicine, medicine and medicine for the elderly.cology, internal medicine, pneumology, general medicine, physical rehabilitation and physiotherapy. She also said that this initiative was marked by the mobilization of human, logistical and material resources of the Hassan II University Hospital, including premises and medicines, the objective being to succeed in this solidarity action.
