France/Twinning of Saint-Cyrpien and Sant Cebrià consecrated
The Jean-Rous 2025 trophy was officially awarded to the Saint-Cyprien - Sant Cebrià de Vallalta twinning committee, in a warm and symbolic ceremony saluting the organization's remarkable commitment to local and cross-border life.

The twinning committee has distinguished itself through concrete actions promoting cultural, educational and civic exchanges between the two twinned towns. Young people are at the heart of the project: among the initiatives praised were meetings between young people from the two towns, workshops to discover the maritime heritage, collaborative art projects and active participation in local events, particularly those linked to the memory of Jean Rous. These initiatives have helped to forge lasting links between generations and regions.
Mohamed Boumekrane, Honorary Administrator of the Maison de l'Europe and inventor of the "Assises du Europe", presented the trophy at an emotional ceremony.Europe and inventor of the assises du jumelage, in the presence of elected representatives from the two twin towns, members of the two twinning committees, association representatives and numerous local residents. The trophy, a handcrafted piece combining wood and metal, was unveiled as a symbol of cooperation, transmission and Mediterranean fraternity.
The award reinforces the visibility of the twinning and encourages the pursuit of joint projects. It testifies to the vitality of a partnership that transcends borders, driven by the values of respect, sharing and memory.
