France/Student association organizes a food collection

The health crisis has plunged many students into precariousness. To help them, the UNI Franche-Comté student association, chaired by Bastien Heche, has entered into a partnership with the municipality of Bourogne.

The student association of UNI Franche-Comté, chaired by Bastien Heche, in partnership with the commune of Bourogne, is organising a food collection for students in the North Franche-Comté region.

The UNI is attached to the parent association which was created after May 1968, but the Franche-Comté section was created in 1980. The current head office is located at 24 rue de la Libération in Boron and the association will be moving its premises.

Bastien Heche, also in charge of communication within the association explains that the situation of the students is catastrophic, they feel forgotten.

Many of them have lost their extra jobs, most of them worked in the catering industry.

The situation is becoming urgent, university restaurants are also closed and many students are left without income.

To help them, a partnership with the commune of Bourogne has been set up. Deliveries will be made through the commune and volunteers.

It is possible to drop off all food and hygiene products at the town hall.

Flyers have been distributed and it has borne fruit. Donors have responded, the first deliveries should be made quickly according to the donations collected. Bastien Heche thanked the mayor, Baptiste Guardia and elected officials.

The collection point is located at the town hall of Bourogne, rue des Ecoles.
