France/Poitiers: a week of activities around sustainable development
The European Week of Sustainable Development will take place from September 30 to October 8, 2022, on the territory of Grand Poitiers. Visits, walks and conferences will follow one another.
For the past ten years, Grand Poitiers has been implementing the European Week for Sustainable Development on its territory. For this 2022 edition, which will take place from September 30 to October 8, 2022, the community wishes to inform and accompany different audiences on the issues of ecological transition.
Thus, through visits, an exhibition, workshops, walks and an escape game, concepts and themes that may seem far from everyday life, such as the local urban development plan and the territorial climate-air-energy plan of Grand Poitiers, will find concrete applications.
"A strong network of the territory this year"
In the list of the many events proposed in the coming days by the community, we will note the desire to reach a wide audience. "We have this year a strong meshing of the territory", rejoices Alois Gaborit, vice-president of Grand Poitiers in charge of energy sobriety, urbanism and energy transition.
From the woods of Saint-Pierre to the Jardin des Plantes, via the waste collection centers and the composting platforms, all the major issues surrounding ecology (waste, energy, water, health, etc.) will be discussed.(waste, energy, water, health, biodiversity) should be addressed in an educational and entertaining way during these different events.
Tips for saving energy
This European week will end on October 7, 8 and 9, 2022, at the Poitiers exhibition center with the Maison déco et jardin show. The thermal advisors of Grand Poitiers will be there to provide information and advice to the public to save energy.
