The association Livre et culture continues its actions to help seniors solve the problem of the digital divide, by opening a new workshop, entitled Tablette pas à pas.

This training takes the form of six one-and-a-half hour sessions, from February 25 to April 1, at the association's premises. The eight participants, led by Kevin Poyart, a facilitator from the Maison familiale rurale (MFR) in Azay-le-Rideau, with the help of two speakers from Livre et culture, learn to become autonomous for their administrative procedures on the Internet. The program is pragmatic: knowing how to access the Internet with wifi, going to official applications (taxes, insurance, etc.), creating an account, knowing how to fill in the required documents and sending an e-mail with attachments. " If people do not have a personal tablet, the association lends one for the duration of the workshop," explains Philippe Blin, the president.
The actions of Livre et culture, in the fight against the digital divide, began in November 2019, in the form of a conference organizede at the Espace Jean-Cocteau, in partnership with the Association des retraités du CEA (Commissariat à l'énergie atomique), the Maison des services au public de Montbazon and the town hall. About 100 people attended the event. In a second phase, in 2020 and 2021, the association organized introductory sessions of one and a half hours, with the help of the CCAS, which made tablets available. About fifty people, in small groups, benefited from this action.
To participate in the next workshop from April 29 to June 10, contact 06.07.65.97.96. or asso.livreculture@gmail.com. Cost: 20 € for the workshop. Annual membership to Livre et culture: 10 €.
